Island Carts, LLC is the #1 golf cart and low speed vehicles provider (LSVs) across the Central Gulf Coast since 2014. We only rent street legal (registered and plated) carts, so we are specialists in the field, and can answer just about any question thrown our way, concerning the operation of our vehicles, as well as where they can and cannot be driven.

Our delivery area stretches from Fort Morgan, AL to Pensacola, FL and all cities in between (we no longer service Dauphin Island).

Island Carts, LLC does not operate out of a retail business location. We provide concierge delivery and pickup service directly to local homes and businesses.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel at least 30 days prior to their rental date to receive a full refund minus a $25 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 30 day period will not be eligible for a refund. Customers may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it’s outside the 30 day cancellation period. No refunds once the cart has been rented. Customer must be at least 21 years old with a valid credit card, valid auto insurance and drivers license.

What you need to know

For Parents & Guardians

Parents or guardians allowing a child to operate a golf cart are subject to a fine in excess of $200.00. Golf carts/LSVs being operated in violation of state law are also subject to being towed at owner’s expense.

Cart Restrictions

There are restrictions on the use of golf carts in the State of Alabama and Florida. Golf carts must be licensed, insured, and registered as Low Speed Vehicles (LSV) with the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. LSV’s may not be operated on side walks, primary roads or highways. ALL drivers must be licensed and at least 21 years old….NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Speed Limits

Golf carts are allowed on secondary roads with a posted speed limit of 25mph or less and can cross primary roads. All state traffic laws must be obeyed and the seating capacity of the golf cart cannot be exceeded.

Does Island Carts provide service to Dauphin Island?

No, Island Carts LLC does not service Dauphin Island. Our delivery area includes Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and Pensacola Beach. If you’re unsure about your location, please contact us for confirmation.

Are golf carts allowed on West Beach or East Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores?

No, the City of Gulf Shores does not permit golf carts on West Beach or East Beach Boulevard.

What types of golf carts do you offer—gas or electric?

We provide both gas and electric carts. Our team will supply the best option based on availability and customer needs.

What areas do you deliver to?

We offer delivery and pickup services in Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and Pensacola Beach. Dauphin Island is not serviced.

What are the rental requirements?

To rent a golf cart, you must:
✅ Be at least 21 years old
✅ Have a valid driver’s license
✅ Provide proof of valid auto insurance
✅ Have a valid credit card for payment

Where can I drive the golf cart?

Our street-legal golf carts (LSVs) can be driven on roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or lower, where permitted by local laws. They are NOT allowed on major highways, interstates, or restricted areas such as East and West Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores.

What rental durations do you offer?

We offer 3-day, 4-day, and 7-day rental options for 4-passenger and 6-passenger golf carts. Additional days may be added based on availability.

How do I charge or refuel my rental cart?

Electric carts come with a charging cable. Renters must ensure they have access to an outlet for overnight charging.
Gas carts come with a full tank and should be refueled with regular unleaded gasoline as needed.

Can I drive the golf cart on the beach or off-road?

No, our golf carts cannot be driven on the beach, sand dunes, nature trails, or any off-road terrain. Violating this rule may result in the rental being revoked without a refund.

What if my golf cart breaks down?

Island Carts LLC ensures all golf carts are well-maintained and serviced regularly. If you experience any issues, contact us immediately, and we will provide assistance, repairs, or a replacement cart if necessary.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations 30+ days before the rental start date receive a full refund minus a $25 service fee.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the rental period are non-refundable.
Once the rental has begun, no refunds will be issued.
You may modify your reservation for free as long as changes are made outside the 30-day cancellation window.

How fast do the golf carts go?

Can I rent multiple carts for a large group or event?

Yes! We offer group rentals for:

Can I extend my rental if I need the cart longer?

Rental extensions may be possible, but they are not guaranteed. If you wish to extend your rental, please contact us as soon as possible to check for availability.

Do you deliver and pick up the golf carts?

Yes! We offer golf cart delivery and pickup services within our service areas. Fees may apply, depending on location.

Deliveries are typically by 4 PM on the start date, and pickups are scheduled by 9 AM on the return date, unless agreed upon otherwise.

How do I reserve a golf cart?

To book a rental, customers must:
✔ Pay in full at the time of booking
✔ Sign and complete the rental agreement
✔ Provide a valid driver’s license, credit card, and auto insurance

When we arrived at our beach house the cart had already been delivered and was ready for us. We rented a 6 seater, which was exactly what we needed. We had 12 people with chairs and beach bags, so we made a couple of easy trips and were on the beach in no time.  We couldn’t have done it without the cart. We paid cash, so they came to our house to collect. We never had to go to them. RENT FROM THESE GUYS! We will for sure use them in the future!

When I mentioned leaving an honest review they immediately responded claiming they were ill. Luckily there are other companies on the island that want the busines Update I'm on Dauphin island which is in Alabama. This man continued to text and ridicule me after I left this review.
